Keystone Christian Leadership
“Keystone Christian Academy exists to disciple students so that they love truth, live truth and serve Jesus Christ in the local church.” – Pastor Wright, School Administrator
Pastor Douglas Wright was born in Clarksburg, WV and was raised in that area until attending college in Greenville, SC. Pastor Wright attended Bob Jones University in the Fall of 1980. After graduation in 1984 with a degree in Bible, he married fellow graduate Kristy Browning. Kristy was raised in the Barboursville, WV area in a pastor’s home. Kristy’s degree is in Home Economics Education with a minor in English. She has perpetually used that education degree and continues to teach in Keystone Christian Academy. Pastor Wright and Kristy spent one school year teaching at a Christian School in New Freedom, PA, and then moved to Clymer, PA where they served until 1994. During the years from 1994 until the present both Pastor Wright and Kristy have continued their graduate studies. Pastor Wright received a Master of Ministry degree from Bob Jones University in May of 2003, and is working toward a Dr. of Ministries Degree.
"God gave me a great opportunity to be born into a Christian family. I had two godly parents that exemplified Ephesians 6:4 where God says to raise children in the “nurture and admonition of the Lord.” My parents sacrificed to send me to Keystone Christian Academy from K-12th grade. It was an excellent education that not only prepared me academically for college, but also spiritually. I was saved at a young age at a camp that Keystone Baptist Church sponsored. Looking back, I can easily trace the steps in my life that God used to direct me into the ministry. After my high school graduation, the Lord led me Bob Jones University where I received a bachelors in Practical Christian Training. This Bible degree helped me to be able to focus on the biblical training that I would need to properly the calling the Lord had given me. Once I graduated from college, the Lord called me back up to the Berryville area. I started teaching here at the school. It was at that time that I met the woman who would become my wife. After a few years of dating, we were married on December 12, 2015. I now have the honor and privilege of not only teaching at my alma mater, but I am the principal at KCA. It is my goal that the Lord can use me and the staff to grow the school in a way that allows our students to grow closer to God."
